Dental implants are permanent solutions to replace missing teeth that offer natural looking and feeling results. Implants can be used to replace one or many teeth or provide more stable alternative to bridges and dentures. Implants also help preserve facial structure, preventing bone deterioration that occurs when teeth are missing.
What are dental implants?
The implants themselves are small titanium posts that are surgically placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. These posts act as tooth root substitutes. The jawbone bonds with the titanium, creating a solid foundation for artificial teeth. Small posts called abutments are attached to the implant, which provides an anchor for the artificial replacement teeth. We work with our preferred labs to design custom artificial teeth that match your natural teeth perfectly.
Why dental implants?
When you lose several teeth – whether it’s a new situation or something you have lived with for years – chances are you have never become fully accustomed to losing such a vital part of yourself. Once you learn about implants, you finally realize there is a way to improve your life.
Am I a good candidate for implants?
To determine if you are a good candidate for implants, Dr. Matt Hildebrand will examine your bone density and overall oral health using our 3D x-ray technology. Once the examination is completed, a treatment plan will be provided with a total breakdown of procedures needed and cost involved, along with any estimated insurance benefits that could be used. Dr. Matt will make sure that you understand the procedures and will take time to answer any questions you may have. We can provide temporary crowns or partial prosthetics to fill temporary gaps to ensure you have the same great smile throughout your healing time. Dr. Matt ensures that the implant procedure is pain-free and can offer conscious sedation and/or nitrous oxide for greater peace of mind.
